Water Logging Created Panic,People Protest ,Blocked Highway against BDO Singpora*

Baramulla (KPS): The residents of Singpora area of Pattan on Saturday morning staged a protest against the Block Development officer (BDO) against the water logging water in the area. The protesters including women and children blocked the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad road for hours due to which traffic movement was disrupted for several hours.

Protesters said that the Water Logging in the area has created a threat of epidemic diseases
Locals alleged that they have several times requested BDO Singpora to sort out their problem but unfortunately she doesn’t bother about the problems faced by the common masses of the area.

Meanwhile the protest ended up peacefuly after DO Mirgund Sub Insp Waseem along with Tehsildar Singpora gave assurance to the protesters that their grievances will be sorted out. (KPS)
