Govt forces lay siege to Budgam village, launch searches
Srinagar: Government forces on Saturday launched a massive cordon and search operation in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
Sources said that the contingents of Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Central Reserve Police Forces laid a siege to Poshker village in the wee hours on Saturday. They siege, they said, was launched after inputs about presence of militants in the village.
The government forces conducted door-to-door searches in the area and the operation was going on when this report was being filed.
