PSAJK on outreach mission: Visits schools in Pir Panchal valley, holds meeting with educationists 

Agrees for joint working to resolve issues facing education sector

Poonch, March 25: In continuing with its outreach initiatives with educational institutes all around the State, Private schools’ Association of Jammu and Kashmir (PSAJK) held a grand meeting with school heads and experts of Pir Panchal range at Jamia Zia ul Uloom Poonch.

The meeting was addressed by chairman PSAJK, G N Var, Chairman Zia ul Uloom Secondary School,  Waheed Banday, Author Nigar-e-Urdu and Chairman Universal School, M N Qureshi, President PSA Rajouri, Khurshid Bismil, President PSA Poonch, Raja Shehzad, Coordinator PSA Jammu, Tariq Bali and others.

The speakers deliberated on the common challenges faced by education sector in the state. There was a unanimous decision calling for immediate constitution of State Education Council so that the adhocism, makeshift arrangements and problems arising out of frequent transfer of Secretaries, Directors and other education heads can be eliminated. The central team of PSAJK also apprised the members about the work done by the association and about the recent meetings with Advisor to Governor and other officials.

The members also deliberated on the need for collaboration so that the challenges arising out of globalisation and changing education scenario can be effectively tackled. The other issues like impact of social media, misuse of mobiles and need of moral studies were also discussed. The participants also decided to unanimously work towards achieving the goal of providing best education among the students.

Later the central team visited Himalayan Institute Rajouri, Allama Anwar Shah Kashmiri Islamic International Academy and Universal School Poonch and interacted with the management.
