Girl hangs self in Pulwam; Family stages protest after girl dies at SKIMS
Srinagar, Feb 11,: A teen age girl from South Kashmir committed suicide after hanging herself inside her room.
The incident occurred at Gawgund village of Pulwama.
A police official said that the daughter (name withheld) of one Farooq Ahmed Najar hanged herself inside her room. She was found dead after family members removed the rope around her neck.
“We have registered a case and investigation set into motion,” he said.
Meanwhile, a family from Hyderpora Srinagar staged a protest against some doctors at SKIMS Soura when the teen age girl they had admitted in the hospital died on bed. They alleged that doctors gave her an extra doze of anesthesia.
A family member said that they admitted Heba Bashir in the hospital for plastic surgery purpose but little did they know, she will die in the hospital. “The doctors gave her an extra dose of anesthesia and it became the cause of her death,” he said,
The family members staged protest and demanded stern action against the erring doctors. An official from SKIMS said that they are ascertaining the facts. (KNT)
