New Delhi, Feb 11 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday congratulated the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and it’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal for their thumping victory in the Assembly elections.
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, the PM posted, ”Congratulations to AAP and Shri @ArvindKejriwal Ji for the victory in Delhi Assembly Elections. Wishing them the very best in fulfilling the aspirations of the people of Delhi.”
Replying to Mr Modi’s tweet, Mr Kejriwal said, ”Thank u so much sir. I look forward to working closely wid Centre to make our capital city into a truly world class city.”
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh tweeted,”I congratulate Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his party for winning the Delhi Assembly elections.”
Mr Kejriwal also thanked the Defence Minister.
According to the Election Commission, AAP has won 44 seats and is leading in 18 seats and BJP has won in five seats, while it’s leading in three seats.
