Mumbai, Feb 11: The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Tuesday jumped by 348.66 points at 41,328.28 as buying was seen across the board amid positive global cues.
The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) too gained by 104.35 points at 12,135.85.
The Sensex registered intra-day high and low at 41,444.34 and 41,179.14 points respectively.
The Nifty recorded day intra day high and low at 12,172.30 and 12,103.10 points respectively.
The sectoral indices like Materials, FMCG, Health Care, IT and Consumer Durable stocks pushed the market up in early trade.
The gainers were Tata Steel by 2.29 per cent to Rs 453.80, Maruti Suzuki by 2.02 per cent to Rs 7030.55, Powergrid by 1.75 per cent to Rs 190 and NTPC by 1.63 per cent to Rs 115.30.
