Srinagar, 20 Feb 2020 (PR): A lecture on “Importance of Education for Women in Kashmir” was organised at Niru on 19 February 2020. The lecture was conducted by the Medical Officer of the local Army Camp with an aim to inspire and motivate young girls of Niru village to pursue higher education. This would not only ensure a bright future, but also open up many employment avenues. Women play an important role in family as well as in society building. One teacher and 15 girls students from Government Middle School, Niru attended the lecture.
During the course of lecture examples of successful women achievers of Kashmir Valley were cited including their tough journey, hard work, courage and achievements. Important aspects of how to balance personal life & education were also discussed.
Such motivational efforts by the Army for girls of the local villages would encourage them to play a responsible role in the society and contribute towards nation building.
