Barabanki, Feb 24 : Three members of a family were killed while another sustained critical injuries, in a road mishap at the Ramnagar-Fatehpur road in this district of Uttar Pradesh, police sources said on Monday.
According to sources here, Mohammad Altaf, a resident of Kintur town, was on his way to Sudhiyamau, along with his wife Ainunisha and two children on a bike, late Sunday evening.
Meanwhile, a speeding truck coming from behind rammed into the motorcycle, resulting in on the spot death of the couple and their three-year-old daughter Iba while their son Asad was critically injured.
Asad was later rushed to a hospital where he is currently undergoing treatment.
Following the accident, the truck driver fled from the spot.
Police is on the lookout for the absconding driver.
