Srinagar, Feb 28 (UNI) Rescue operation to recover the body of a student who was buried under a huge avalanche along with two others on February 15 in border area of Gurez in Bandipora district of north Kashmir was suspended.
There was huge snow in the area and all efforts to recover the body of Javed Ahmad Lone has not yielded any result, following which rescue operation is being suspended, official sources said on Friday.
Personnel from different agencies, including Army, SDRF, police and locals participated in the rescue operation, the sources said, adding sniffer dogs were also used. (UNI)
