NC decries scrapping of JK Bank appointment process 2018, nullifying of written exams

Srinagar, Feb 29 : Jammu and Kashmir National Conference on Saturday expressed dismay over the ordeal which the aspirants are going through following the scrapping of JK Bank recruitment process 2018, saying the undue delay in the whole process has already put scores of aspirants and families through trepidation.

In a statement issued to wire service—Kashmir Press Service (KPS), party’s Provincial Secretary Showkat Ahmad Mir while expressing disappointment over the sudden entrapment of 1200 banking associate posts and 250 probationary posts said, “It has come as a shock to the aspirants and scores of families associated with them. Majority of the aspirants had given up their jobs elsewhere in the country to appear for the exams.

Similarly there are scores of aspirants who had taken a leave from their studies to prepare for the exams and subsequently appear in them. To our disappointment their uphill struggle has been turned futile by the concerned authorities. It is indeed worrisome, it is not just the aspirants only, and it is their families who are facing dejection,” he said.

The entire recruitment process had already drawn slack due to undue delay in conducting interviews post written examination, he said adding, “The authorities have suddenly scrapped all the post citing discrepancies ensuring the new-fangled process will be done fairly and on a fast tract basis.

The government rather than quashing the posts should have made the discrepancies public. Now the same agency is being again employed to test the aspirants. The measure has dampened the resolve of aspirants.  Who will now compensate for the precious time which they had spent preparing for exams? What about the anxiety which the aspirants and their families are beset with?  There is a human angle to it; the measure has come as a bolt from blue.”

He said that the party cannot remain mute on the problems concerning youth. The authorities should have ironed out the descriptiveness rather than quashing the whole process which had already consumed much precious time of the aspirants.

The youth of J&K are already going through tough times following dire unemployment, the move will indeed push them to wall. I urge the concerned authorizes to revisit the depression”.
