Bandipora, Mar 1, : Thieves looted the cash from the chest of holy shrine here in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
Police say, efforts are on to nab the culprits while preachers have expressed concern and demanded immediate arrest of those responsible for the act.
Official sources told Kashmir News Trust cash from a chest located in the lawns of Syed Kamaluddin Bukhari (RA) shrine at Naidkhai, Hajin was looted by burglars. The incident have created resentment among local population.
“We are really concerned over such incidents and demand stern punishment for the culprits,” said a local. A police official said that a case has been registered and efforts are on to nab the culprits. (Agencies)
