Road to border town of Karnah closed; Keran, Machil roads open in north Kashmir
Srinagar, Mar 5 (UNI) Road to several far-flung and remote villages, including border town of Karnah, was on Thursday closed as a precautionary measure in view of prediction of moderate to heavy snowfall during the next three days.
Despite cloudy skies, traffic was plying normally on roads leading to border towns of Kupwara-Machil, Kupwara-Keran and other of remote areas.
The road connecting Bandipora with border town of Gurez, which is surrounded by Pakistan-administrate Kashmir (PaK) from three sides, continued to remain closed as it has been for the past two months due to accumulation of snow, particularly at Razdan pass.
