Humble appeal to rich, business class to come forward, donate for the cause of humanity in this hour of crisis: Karwan-e-Islami

Srinagar, March 28 : The charity wing of Karwan-e-Islami International—Kashmir Imdad Foundation under the triple (RRR) program made a humble and fervent appeal to the Kashmir’s rich and elite class to come forward in this challenging hour and extend a helping hand to help the poor and destitute of Kashmir stating that from March 1 onwards, the volunteers of Karwan-e-islami reached out to those who were stranded in various places and rescued them all and provided them with food and other essentials at their door steps.

In a statement issued here, the Karwan-e-Islami said that in 2016 also, when Kashmir witnessed months long unrest, the volunteers of Karwan-e-islami left no stone unturned to help the poor and needy and while carrying out its activities, financial and other support in terms of food and medicines were provided right at the door steps of people who were in need. Pertinently, Imadad wing of Karwan-e-Islami is the only organization, the volunteers of which in bid to help the Rohingya Muslims, reached the borders of Burma to help and rescue Rohingya Muslims. Temporary shelters and essential food items were provided to Rohingya Muslims at that point of time by the Imdad wing of Karwan-e-Islami.

While as fear of Covid-19 outbreak looms large over Kashmir and people are once again locked up in their own homes but the volunteers of Imadad wing are working round the clock to the people who need essential commodities like food, clothing and medicine across the towns and cities of Kashmir besides carrying out massive sanitization of areas across Kashmir. Keeping in view the need to help the poor and destitute of Kashmir and also those who are affected by the Covid-19 and can’t afford treatment costs and other related things. Keeping this all in view, we appeal al lthe masjid committees and Kashmir’s rich and elite class to come forward and extend a helping hand so that no one dies of hunger of starvation.
