Kannada actor Sharmiela Mandre sustained serious injuries after the actor met with an accident in Bangalore on Saturday morning. According to the reports, Sharmiela Mandre, who was accompanied by a friend named Lokesh Vasanth, met with an accident around 3 am on Saturday night near the Vasanth Nagar, Bengaluru. While her friend has fractured his hand,Sharmiela Mandre has had injuries on her face.
The actor and her friend were immediately taken to a nearby hospital and were discharged after being treated. However, as per a report by Deccan Herald, a man was falsely claiming about driving the car and also refused to reveal the names of the injured in the accident. The man later fled the spot after requesting the police not to register a case.
The police was quoted saying, ‘We don’t know how the car hit the pillars in under-bridge if the accident has taken place in JP Nagar. According to doctors, it is suspected that the duo was under the influence but a report yet to come.’
According to the report, the two friends did not have a legal permission to drive the car around the city amid the nationwide lockdown and it is being suspected that they were out on a fun ride. Following the incident, a case has been registered in High Grounds Traffic police station.
