Recent decisions taken by Dr,Asghar Samoon are timely,a prudent move in right direction irrespective of the status: Dr. Manzoor

Srinagar (PR): Chairman SEECC and State president lecturers forum,Dr.Manzoor has hailed the sincere efforts and the recent decisions taken by Dr.Samoon,which are no doubt in the larger interests of all stakeholders of the department.

He said that it is an unfortunate truth that in the past,the makers of all professions were being satisfied by the verbal assurances in the shape of promises like, “sky is the limit, “but the words were never translated into action.

Dr.Manzoor said that it does not need any rocket science to understand that the +2 community was being treated like a coronavirus, as our genuine concers/issues were deliberately not addressed,thus putting the learned lot in mental trauma.

He said, that it is an open secret, that we knocked each concerned quarter with regard to the long pending demand of running grade,but to our misfortune our counterparts were showered with the same,only depriving and keeping +2 cadre in dock.

Dr.Manzoor said, that in the existing administrative structure,each department has the promotional avenues,as an junior engineer can attain the height up to Chief Engineer, men in white apron can climb the promotional ladder up to Director,a patwari to the level of Executive Magistrate,a class IVth working in power center (Secteriat)to Deputy Secretary but the hapless lot associated with the rich sector of J and K bid goodbye to the department with the same tag attached at the time of entry to that of superannuation.State president of lecturers forum said,that this flawed policy has created brain drain and if not addressed,will prove detrimental to the future and tomorrow of our nation.

He said,it is a simple and plain truth that officials associated with teaching profession never ever want their offsprings to opt the same because of lack of promotional avenues,and now this noble profession has become the last choice of the highly qualified and talented lot of the society,which is a matter of serious and grave concern.

Dr.Manzoor said that from two decades,we are bringing this hard fact in the domain of the concerned,that the Incharge tag shall be abolished once for all, as it is really a hard slap on the face of the civilised and learned segment of the society.

He said some of our colleagues have already breathed their last,and the irony is that their regularization files are eating dust in the concerned section of Civil Secteriat.

Dr.Manzoor said that history of JKBOSE bears enough testimony to this naked truth that the said agency has remained the domain of +2 community,but due to vested interests of some influential lot,BOSE was handed over to Higher Education which is gross injustice with the gazetted cadre of school education,the same needs to be brought back under +2 roof.

State president lecturers forum said that one is at wonder that the departmental official dom has coined a new term in the official lexicon “LOOK AFTER”, which is highly unfortunate and shall be discarded, as it has put the department on halt.

Dr.Manzoor said that within a short span of time, after assuming the reigns of the department, DR.ASGHAR SAMOON, has put the department back on the track, and his decisions, tweets and gestures have really brought smiles and cheers to the dejected lot of community.

He said though much more needs to be done,but a good beginning has been made by the son of the soil,which is encouraging, charming,pleasing and highly appreciable.

He made it clear that the non teaching section is an vital organ of the department and their legitimate concerns have to be addressed,as their existing strength does not match with the heavy workload they go through.

Dr.Manzoor assured DR.SAMOON,from all constituents of SEECC, that we will not only extend our hand of cooperation but will actively part in every step which will be in the larger interests of the community.
