Kulgam, Apr 120, KNT: Police have registered a case after unidentified gunmen thrashed a cop inside his house in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Sources told KNT that unidentified militants barged into the house of a cop and thrashed him inside the house.
Before fleeing from the spot, the gunmen warned the SPO of dire consequences in case he doesn’t resign from the job.
The incident occurred in Tengbal village of Kulgam. “There were three gunmen who barged into the house of the cop,” said a local identifying the SPO as Adil Bashir Bhat (738/spo).
The cop is posted at DPO Kulgam.
SSP Kulgam Gurindar Pal Singh confirmed the incident to Kashmir News Trust saying the cognizance of the incident has been taken and a formal case registered in this regard.
