April 27: Acting tough against social crimes, Ganderbal Police have arrested 4 gamblers from a gambling site and seized stake money.
A police party from Police Post Shadipora raided a gambling site at Lati Authkhuru following an input about gambling activities and apprehended four gamblers.
Officers have seized stake money of ₹80,000/ from the gamblers. They have been arrested and shifted to Police Station where they remain in custody.
Accordingly, a case FIR No.77/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Ganderbal and investigation has been initiated.
Persons found indulging in criminal activities shall be dealt as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with the local police units.
