Srinagar, Apr 28,: Protection Force fired some aerial shots after some people objected to the demolition drive carried out by Lakes and Waterways Development Authority.
The incident occurred at Telbal Dargah area of Srinagar outskirts.
Sources told KNT that demolition squad of LAWDA reached Telbal area to dismantle ‘illegal’ encroachment. As they started demolition of a residential house belonging to one Bashir Ahmed Wagay, some people resorted to stone-pelting and targeted demolition squad.
In a bid to chase away the mob, the protection force fired many shots in air. An official from LAWDA while confirming the incident said that a case has been registered against the miscreants. (KNT)
