DGP J&K sanctions special welfare relief of Rs.50 lakh for NoKs of deceased personnel.
Over Rs.31 crore Special Welfare Relief sanctioned during last financial year
JAMMU, MAY 02: For the Police personnel who served the Jammu and Kashmir Police organization for years and also for those Police personnel who lost their lives while serving the department, Police Headquarters under the able guidance of Senior Police Officers has from time to time taken many welfare measures to provide a helping hand to their families.
Continuing with their endeavour Shri Dilbag Singh, Director General of Police, J&K has sanctioned welfare relief of Rs.20 lakh each for legal heirs of HC Joginder Ram and Const. Ranjeet Singh who expired due to illness while in service.
Rs. 5 lakh each has also been sanctioned in favour of NoKs of the deceased SPO Pawan Kumar and SPO Feroz Chand who expired due to illness during the course of their engagement.
As per the PHQ order, welfare relief has been sanctioned for the legal heirs of police personnel/NoKs of deceased SPOs out of Contributory Police Welfare Fund.
Pertinent to mention that Rs.27.95 crore and Rs.3.18 crore special welfare relief has been sanctioned and disbursed among legal heirs of 153 Police Personnel and 80 NoKs of deceased SPOs respectively during the last financial year.
