Book notorious drug peddlers under PSA, Lolab locals to Police

Kupwara, May 11,: People from picturesque Lolab Valley here in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district Monday appealed Jammu Kashmir Police to book two infamous drug peddlers under Public Safety Act.
The locals said that two drug peddlers who hail from Maidanpora, Lolab are habitual offenders who enjoy freedom every time whenever, arrested by police.
Locals from Lolab told KNT that two notorious drug peddlers are more nuisance than humans. These drug addicts and peddlers are luring young boys and have already ruined the careers of scores of youth by making them addict to drugs and charas.
The locals identified these drug peddlers as Aqib Malla and Nisar Sheikh, both residents of Maidanpora Lolab.
“A couple of days before both these peddlers were apprehended by police along with 800 gram charas and currently they are lodged at police station Sogam. We are sure they will get bail after spending few days in lockup and then will again resume their filthy trade,” locals said and demanded that both these drug peddlers need to be booked under Public Safety Act.
A police official confirmed to Kashmir News Trust that they have arrested the duo Nisar Sheikh and Aqib Malla of Maidanpora along with Charas and an FIR vide number 46/2020 under NDPS Act has been registered against them. He admitted that both the culprits are habitual offenders and need to be taken seriously. (KNT)
