ALL J&K +2 PSC LECTURERS’ ASSOCIATION CALLS ON ASGAR SAMOON
Apprises him issues facing fraternity
Srinagar: A delegation of the Association comprising of Vice President Mr. Mansoor Ahmad, Gen. Secretary Dr.Nazim and Chief Organiser Mr. KhursheedAlam today called on Principal Secretary to School Education Department J&K, Dr.Asgar Hassan Samoon in his office chamber and apprised him about the various issues facing the +2 Lecturer. The delegation held a threadbare deliberation about the distressing and depressing stagnation at +2 level and failure of previous regimes to grant of ACP/Running Grade in favour of the +2 lecturers. The response of Dr.Samoon was very positive in this regard and assured the delegation that instructions were passed on the spot to the concerned to put up the file already prepared by the designated committee before the administrative Department at earliest for further perusal. The delegation thanked Dr.Samoon for taking path-breaking and speedy initiatives and taking the department to new heights with his meticulous and visionary ideas.
The delegation also met worthy Director School Education Kashmir Dr. Mohammad Younus and hailed his efforts for taking a number of initiatives like Tele-classes on DDK Srinagar, Educational Radio Broadcasts on AIR Srinagar, video lectures and online classes. The delegation assured worthy director that +2 lecturers will whole heartedly support and contribute each such endeavour taken in the larger interest of the student community. The delegation thanked Dr.Younus for his conscientious efforts in giving flip to the educational sector in the valley and his interest in resolving the grievances of the employees within shortest possible time.
Later on the delegation met Additional Secretary SED, Mr. Naseer Ahmad Wani and discussed the issue of placement of Lecturers as Sr. Lecturers pending form 2014. The Additional Secretary assured the delegation that the matter would be resolved within shortest possible time.
The size of the delegation was cut short due to prevailing Covid 19 Pandemic and keeping in view the social distancing and other SOPs.
