Rajnath Singh holds high level meeting with CDS General Bipin Rawat
In light of the recent scuffle between Indian Army and Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) in Ladakh’s Gallwan Valley, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has held a high-level meeting with Chief Of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat to take stock of the situation and deliberate on way ahead.
The meeting was also attended by Indian Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane, Air Chief Marshal Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria and Naval Chief Admiral Karambir Singh.
Military commanders and Army Generals from both sides have been in communications with each other and meetings are underway to defuse the tension between two nuclear powers in the region.
There is confirmation that no bullets have been fired at the Line of Actual Control (LAC) and the casualties have taken place by other objects.
The last time a bullet was fired at the LAC was in 1975.
Last night three Army men from Indian side including an officer was killed along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Galwan valley.
