Kashmiri students arriving from Astana, being provided facilities at Delhi Airport, Soz
Srinagar, Jun 18 : Senior Congress leader and former Union minister Prof Saifuddin Soz on Thursday claimed that he has ensured certain facilities for 36 stranded Kashmiri students who are arriving at New Delhi airport from Astana, Kazakhistan on June 20.
A representative of the Resident Commission New Delhi will receive the students and provide necessary facility in respect of their lodging and boarding at Terminal-3 New Delhi airport. However, he said, thehese students will travel to Srinagar next morning and will get quarantined here, Prof Soz said.
He urged the families of the concerned students to remain in touch with their wards so that they know the details in respect of their arrival and quarantining at Srinagar.
Meanwhile, Prof Soz said he has requested the Resident Commission, Delhi to extend similar facilities to the stranded Kashmir students traveling from Almati to Delhi on tomorrow (June 19) at Terminal-3 New Delhi airport.
