Family members of missing Ganderbal youth seek help trace him

Srinagar, Jul 1 :Family members of a youth missing in the central Kashmir district of Ganderbal for the past more than ten days have sought help from the police and public to trace him.

Over a dozen family members of the youth identified as Noor-ul-Hassan, resident of Prang Kangan in Ganderbal district, gathered at Press colony near here seeking help to trace him.

Holding placards in their hands the family members, including women, said Hassan was missing since June 22. ‘We appeal to Governor administration please help us to trace Hassan’, the placard reads.

Despite massive searches Hassan could not be traced, they said and sought the help of Lt Governor and Director General of Police (DGP) to trace the youth.

Hassan is the second youth Hilal Ahamd Dar who went missing in the valley during the past three weeks.

On June 14, a Phd scholar was reported from during trekking to Gangbal in Ganderbal. However, police later claimed that Hilal has joined militancy though his family members refuted police statement.
