IES officer’s body still untraceable in Drass; Body of driver retrieved after 2 weeks
Drass, July 8: Rescue team Wednesday retrieved the body of a driver after two weeks in Drass area of Kargil region.
Pertinently, Subhan Ali, an Indian Engineering Service officer, met with an accident when the driver of the vehicle lost control and it plunged into river near Drass.
Both the officer Subhan Ali and his driver were in the vehicle when the accident occurred over two weeks before. Authorities had pressed men and machinery into service to trace the bodies.
Station House Officer Police Station Drass Manzoor Hussain Mir told news agency KNT that after two weeks the body or the driver was found under waters in a vehicle while the officer is still untraceable.
The police official identified the driver as Parvinder Kumar.
He said search operation is still in progress to trace the body of officer. (KNT)
