Army recovers arms and ammunition along Line of Control

Baramulla, July 24: Army has claimed that it recovered arms and ammunition during a search operation in Hatlanga area near Line of Control in Uri Sector of Baramulla.

Police sources told news agency KNT that Police Station Uri received a docket from Army Unit of 18 Military Light Infantry of Rustam post who stated that on 22 July this month during search in area of Hatlanga near Line of Control in Uri Sector, they recovered an AK-47 rifle, it’s 3 magazines, 5 Chinese Pistol and its 10 magazines.

As per seizer memo of Army, 24 hand grenades were already recovered and subsequently destroyed on spot in the forest area.

Police Station Uri in this regard has registered an FIR vide number 100/2020 under section 7/25 Arms Act. (KNT)
