Government employees dutiful, allegations of corruption baseless
Unions will expose vested interests: Aijaz Khan
Kashmir Age Report
Srinagar, Aug 28: Aijaz Ahmad Khan, Chairman, Employees Joint Consultative Committee and President, CAPD Employees Association, Kashmir, in his statement, while dismissing the allegations of corruption against government employees, said that the employees of Jammu and Kashmir have a sense of duty and responsibility.
The employees perform duties and fulfill their responsibilities in their offices.
He said that some vested interests accuse the employees of corruption and with the help of various unions lodge complaints against them. He said that these vested interests should be exposed soon and those who hatch conspiracies will also be exposed soon.
He said that if there is any allegation against an employee then why he is showing his self interest by resorting to unions and associations instead of lodging a complaint against the said employee in the Lieutenant Governor’s Complaints Cell or the concerned offices.
He added that concrete steps would be taken by the EJCC to eradicate such nefarious intentions. He clarified that government employees do not spare a single minute in carrying out their duties diligently. “A person who accuses an employee of corruption or dishonesty should personally lodge a complaint with the Complaints Cell or the concerned officers.”
He warned that the EJCC would take a stand against anyone who was found guilty of filing an unnecessary complaint with the help of unions and would not allow the employee community to come under fire.
