Kashmir Age Report

Kupwara, Sep 07 : Senior National Conference (NC) leader and former legislator, Qaiser Jamsheed Lone on Monday said that he was denied permission to visit northern Kashmir’s Lolab area where he had to attend condolence ceremonies.
Taking to micro blogging site Twitter in a series of tweets, the former legislator informed: “I have been denied permission to visit Lolab Kupwara, again. Have been wanting to travel to Lolab as many of our close family associates and senior party workers had passed away, but was denied permission time and again.”
He added: “Grieving with our people is a basic right and duty, denying us even that is reprehensible. Wanted to travel to Lolab Kupwara today on eve of death Anniversaries of late Sheikh Mohd Abdullah and my uncle Mushtaq Ahmed Lone.”
In another tweet, he asked that, “Why am i being forbidden to even attend prayer/condolence ceremonies? it’s very unfortunate that on one hand we’re being told that you are free and on the other we are being denied permissions to travel.
