Kashmir Age Report
Srinagar, Sep 11: A Gujarat passenger suffered a loss of Rs 13,000 on Thursday when he resorted to the internet to reschedule a flight from Srinagar to Ahmedabad.
According to the Kashmir Press Service, Nitish Gakkar, a passenger from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, who was based in Srinagar, had obtained a ticket to Ahmedabad on GoAir flight number G8358 from the airline.
Arriving at the airport, the flight was flying at 6:40 a.m. instead of 5:40 p.m. The passenger, identified as Nitish Gakkar, had to cancel his flight due to a change in flight schedule as it was difficult for him to reach his destination. He said he expected GoAir would return the ticket money and for this he did a Google search and found a number 9875331783 and called on it.
The concerned passenger said that the call receiver asked him to download a mobile application called Q-Support.
Nitish Gakkar said that the call receiver also asked him from which account number he paid to buy the ticket and as soon as he gave the account number, his account was being opened a few minutes later.
The process of withdrawing money from the bank started and when he checked his bank account, 13,500 rupees were withdrawn from his account.
He said that he then contacted the staff of an airline called GoAir at Srinagar Airport and during that time a DSP of Jammu and Kashmir Police, Bilal Ahmed, assisted him while GoAir staff members Sameer Ahmed, Riyaz Ahmed and Rukhsar Ahmed helped the passenger a lot and his account and ATM were immediately shut down and thus this passenger named Nitish Gakkar from Gujarat escaped from being robbed.
