Indian Institute of Technology, IIT Delhi has allotted 4 exam centers in Srinagar, Jammu, and Kashmir for JEE Advanced 2020 exam. This is the first time Kashmir gets four centers for aspirants who will appear for the examination. The JEE Advanced exam will be conducted on September 27, 2020, across the country in various centers.
Till 2019, Jammu and Kashmir had only 1 exam center in Jammu. After the amendment of Article 370 in the region, the number of exam centers have been increased.
IIT Delhi Director, V. Ramgopal Rao while rubbishing off the news piece claiming that no exam centers allotted in Kashmir for JEE Advanced Exam 2020 said that the Indian Institute of Delhi, IIT Delhi has allotted 4 centers in Srinagar that is enough to accommodate all candidates who will appear for the exam.
He took his official twitter handle to clarify and said, “This is a completely false news. No idea why anyone is spreading this. We have 4 centers in Srinagar, enough to accommodate all candidates. Check JEE Adv brochure.” (Agencies)
