All J&K Lecturers’ Association join hands with Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC)

Decision aimed at expanding outreach and to work for all sections of employees in UTJK

Srinagar: In a historic move, All J&K Lecturers’ Association lead by its President Nayeem Ahmad Parrey today on Tuesday formally joined Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) Kashmir-an amalgam of different Employees Unions/Associations at a Press Conference organised at Press Club Srinagar.
Since the EJAC Kashmir is in its reorganisation phase, All J&K +2 Lecturers’ Association deemed it appropriate to join the amalgam to strengthen its outreach and work for the welfare of all sections of employees in the UT of Jammu & Kashmir. The Executive Members of EJAC-Mr. Wajahat Durani, Mr. Shabir Ahmad Langoo, Mr. Khursheed Ahmad Bhat and Mr. Lateef Ahmad in presence of J&K Teachers Forum Chairman Mr. Rafiq Ahmad Rather gave a warm welcome to the delegates of Association. The Association has been working hard since 2010 for redressal of the genuine grievances of the +2 cadre and by the Grace of Almighty and the faith reposed by the +2 cadre in the leadership, the Association has succeeded in convincing the higher authorities about the grave issues being faced by the cadre and the School Education Department under the dynamic leadership of Principal Secretary Dr. Asgar Hussain Samoon in already on job to redress the long pending demands like removal of stagnation, ACP, EAS, placement and confirmation of I/C officers at different levels in the cadre upto the Joint Directors. The Association felt it appropriate to work for the betterment and welfare of employees at larger platform to infuse a sense of confidence and strength in employees of UT of JK. All the Central Executive Committee members and District Representative across the valley were present in the Press Conference and Mr. Nayeem Ahmad thanked the Executive Members of EJAC Kashmir and expressed heartfelt gratitude for giving +2 Lectures’ Association representation in the amalgam as +2 cadre has faced immense hardships, betrayals and deceits in past due to vested interests who have become irrelevant and outmoded over the passage of time. It was unanimously resolved to work for the genuine rights, grievances and demands of employees in a united voice and every effort would be made to serve the public in a fair and transparent manner in consonance with the duties and responsibilities of government employees. Later on a delegation comprising of President Mr. Nayeem Ahmad, VP Mr. Mansoor Ahmad, Gen. Secretary Dr. Nazim, Mr. Khursheed Ahmad Rather visited Civil Secretariat to enquire the status of already submitted demands to the Department. The delegation was given to understand that the department is on job to redress all genuine issues put forth by the Association from time to time. President Mr. Nayeem Ahmad thanked worthy Principal Secretary SED, DSE Jammu, DSE Kashmir and Project Director Samagar Shiksha for realising the problems being faced by the +2 Cadre and steps initiated for their early redressal.
