JKCCTU held demonstration in support of their demands in Srinagar

Srinagar, Sep 29 : The workers associated with Jammu and Kashmir Coordination Committee Trade Unions (JKCCTU) on Tuesday held a demonstrations in support of their demands, which included release of pending salaries.

Large number of workers, including women, working in different government departments, including Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) at Partap Park near here raising slogans in favour of their demands.

The workers of JKCCTU, associated with All India State Government Employees Federation (AISFEF) alleged that they have not been paid their salaries for the past ten months. We are facing starvation and our children were not allowed to appear in on-line examinations because we could not pay tuition fee, they said.

Holding placards which read we want justice, they said that despite working when there was coronvirus threat, we are being victimized by the government.

He said despite repeated assurance by the authorities our demands, particularly release of salaries, were not fulfilled. They threatened to intensify their agitation if government failed to do justice with them.
