All J&K NPS Employees United Front hold virtual meet, Dissuss issues facing employees, urges govt to address them

Srinagar: A virtual meeting of All Jammu & Kashmir NPS employees United Front was held under the chairmanship UT chairman Ashwani Sharma & UT President Mohammad Ashraf in which some crucial issues of the NPS Employees was discussed in length and breadth by all.

The District and Zonal Presidents including female executives members were present .All Jammu &Kashmir NPS employees United demanded to revoke the recent order of Finance Department order No. 266 dated 28-9-2020 regarding the implementation of General Provident Rules 1960 .”

The order states ” The employees covered under New Pension Scheme(Appointed on or after Janauary 1,2010) who were allowed to open GPF Accounts and make contribution towards GPF on voluntarily basis vide SRO -12 dated January ,2018 , will not make further contribution to GPF Accounts.The guidelines said, adding the balance of all such employees will be refunded after the locking period is over ”
The forum is totally against this order as it is against all the employees of J&K .It is injustice with the NPS employees.
Firstly ,we were forcefully pressureised to open GPF accounts in the name SRO -12 and again we are pressureised to stop contribution into it. If they are not accepting SRO – 12 then why there will be the locking period .The locking period for deposited money must not be there.

They demend to release deposited money (7th pay arrear and other ) with immediate effect .
Otherwise ,we are going to launch a massive protest in coming days ,the forum stressed.

The forum further added ,the Govt. is playing with the emotions of NPS Employees by saying that
There can’t be to saparate accounts of NPS employees in Union Territory as this is not existed anywhere in India .

“But there are many things that are not present in Union Territory
of India but present in UT of J&k. Like pay anmoly of employees of teachers of J&k is not at par with others UT’s of India. Then Govt .must also pass such orders to change the difference.But they will not do this” said one of the employees .

The meeting was attended by Mohamad Husain, Ajeet Singh,Raman sharma,Mohinder Goswami,Javid Ahmed Dar,Khalid Ahmed mir,Yasir naumani,Puran Singh,mohd Ibrahim, Ragbir Singh,Sameer koul, Zahir Ahmed mir,Hilal Ahmed, Farooq Ahmed , Javeed Ahmed Lone,Yasir Khan, Sushil Sharma.
