Two drug peddlers held in Awantipora: Police
Srinagar, Oct 22: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested two drug peddlers near Imambara Wakherwan area of Awantipora in south Kashmir.
An official told news agency KDC that two drug peddlers were arrested while they were travelling in an Auto, Load Carrier bearing registration number JK03F-8420 from Pulwama to Awantipora.
He said the 15 kg of Poppy Straw was recovered from their possession.
He identified the arrested duo as Ishfaq Ahmad Bhat of Renzipora and Waseem Ahmad Wani of Baderwan Pulwama.
Meanwhile, Police have registered a case under FIR number 150 /2020 and seized the vehicle for further investigations. (KDC)
