New Land law: Apni Party stages protest in Jammu

Srinagar, Oct 29: Terming the new land law as a total ‘Black law’ Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) on Thursday staged a strong protest in Jammu against the introduction of new land law for Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

As per news agency KDC, dozens of Apni party leaders and workers assembled outside the Jammu Press Club and staged a strong protest against the new land law.

However, the protestors tried to march towards the Civil sectrait Jammu but police did not allow the leaders and workers to move on.

Apni Party leader Vikram Malhotra while talking to the media said that despite assurances from the Prime minister and Home minister of India that the rights of people of JK will be protected, the government has come up with this black law.

He termed the new land law as totally ‘Black law’ and said that it is an attempt to vanish the identity of Dogra people.

“We will continue to come on roads and will protest till the revocation of new land law in Jammu and Kashmir,” he added.

Another protesting leader said that the introduction of the new land law is a complete betrayal with the people of JK.

“Those who are celebrating and welcoming this new land law should come out and see what people are saying on roads,” she added. (KDC)
