Drass, Oct 30, KDC: Omar Abdullah led ‘Peoples Alliance for Gupkar declaration’ delegation on Friday visited Kargil and held meetings with local leadership there.
Sources told news agency KDC that People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration leaders Omar Abdullah , Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura, Nasir Aslam Wani, Muzafar Shah and Waheed-ur-Rehman Para arrived in Drass on Friday early morning to meet local leaders of the region.
This is the first such delegation of J&K politicians visiting Kargil after the abrogation of Article 370 and bifurcation of the erstwhile state.
As per sources the said delegation is meeting Kargil leadership to discuss the post-August 5 situation.
“Warmly received by the people of Drass, who in one voice endorsed the agenda of the People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration,” tweeted Omar Abdullah. (KDC)
