2 persons including a woman dead, 3 injured in Kupwara accident
Srinagar, Nov 06: In a tragic road accident two persons including a woman were killed on Friday, while three others were injured, when a private vehicle had a head on collision with a truck in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, officials said.
Officials told news agency KDC that a private vehicle bearing registration number CH03A-2071 collided with a truck JKO3-8559 met with an accident near Hatmulla village of Kupwara district.
The officials said,”The driver of the vehicle, identified as Shabir Ahmad Deedar son of Saifullah Din of Kupwara died on the spot, while four others were critically injured and were shifted to hospital.”
“One among the injured Jana Begam wife of Mohammad Younus Khatana of Ucher Magam Handwara succumbed to the injuries, while she was being treated in the hospital,” the officials added.
“Meawhile, the other three inured in the mishap, identified as Dawood Ahmad Khtana son of Younus Ahmad Khatana, Ghulam Rasool Khatan , residents of Ucher Magam and Masrat Begum wife of Ashfaq Ahmad of Shatwari Nagrii have been shifted to SDH Kupwara,” said the officials adding that a case regarding the accident has been filed by the police and investigation has been set in motion.
