Unknown Persons go berserk in Pulwama Village; Voter’s Property worth lacs damaged

Pulwama, Dec 05: Unknown mob last night damaged the property worth lakhs of persons who casted their vote on Friday in phase III of DDC elections in Karimabad village of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Local sources told news agency Kashmir Dot Com-(KDC) that on the intervening night of Friday-Saturday property worth lacs including Cars, Hays and houses of persons who took part in the electoral process yesterday were attacked by unknown persons in Karimabad village of this southern district.

As per sources, Ghulam Nabi Zargar’s hay worth thousands was set on fire. Besides this the houses of Muhammad Abbas Pandit and Shahbaz Ahmed Pandit was damaged by unknown persons.

When KDC contacted one of the victims, he refused to talk about the incident.

Meanwhile, Police sources while confirming the incident said that, we have received a formal complaint from the victims adding that strict action against under law will be taken against these anti-social elements.

Pertinently, Pulwama (B) had recorded a total of 7.31% voter turnout yesterday. A total of 231 votes were polled in this particular village. (KDC)
