Leopard escapes after spotted in a residential house in Budgam village

Srinagar, Dec 15,: A leopard escaped when the wildlife department tried to catch him when he was spotted in a residential house in Paymus area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Tuesday.

An official while confirming the incident told KDC that a leopard was spotted in a residential house in Paymus area here.

All the family members were rescued safely and a team of wildlife department was sent to the spot to catch the leopard.

However local sources told KDC that the leopard escaped from the area after the wildlife team reached the spot.

Wildlife officials said that a team has been constituted to trace the wild animal in the area.

The searches were on and the animal was yet to be traced when this report was filed. (KDC)
