Week after setting herself ablaze, Budgam woman succumbs at SMHS hospital
Srinagar, Dec 22, A week after setting herself ablaze, a 65-year-old woman from Soibugh area of central Kashmiri’s Budgam district succumbed to her injuries at Srinagar’s SMHS hospital on Tuesday night.
According to the news agency—Kashmir Dot Com (KDC), a 65-year-old woman sustained severe burn injuries after she set herself ablaze at her residence in Chan- Mohalla area of Soibugh in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Tuesday last week.
Officials said that the woman (name withheld) set herself ablaze following which she was rushed to nearby Hospital by family members where doctors referred her to SMHS Srinagar in critical condition for advanced treatment where she succumbed to her burn injuries.
Meanwhile, an official told news agency KDC that the reason behind committing suicide is being ascertained.
He said a case under various sections of law has been registered and further investigation is going on in this regard. (KDC)
