Srinagar, Jan 19: Private Schools Association of Jammu and Kashmir (PSAJK) has condoled the demise of Ghulam Nabi Shaida, a veteran journalist and editor of Urdu daily Wadi Ki Awaaz.
The Association termed the demise of Shaida Saheb as a great loss to the entire journalist fraternity of Kashmir. “He was an upright professional, never compromised with principles and ethics of journalism,” said G N Var president PSAJK. “He was an inspiration for the budding journalists and other students who wanted to make their career in the media. Beyond journalism, his social work was there for everyone to see.”
Var said that the Shaida saheb was a repository of knowledge and from him, our younger generation had lot to learn. “His death has created a vacuum, which will be hard to fill,” said Var.
The Association members expressed their deepest sympathies to the bereaved family and prayed to Almighty Allah to give strength and courage to them at this juncture and also prayed for eternal peace and the highest place in Jannat for the departed.
