Stuck in hospital after losing elderly member, Beerwah Family appeals admin for repatriation

Srinagar, Jan 24: A family from Ohangam area of Beerwah in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Sunday appealed the administration for repatriation of the dead body of their elderly member which is lying in the hospital along with stranded members.

Desperate family members of the dead from Ohangam told News Agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that their loved one died in Beerwah hospital on Sunday, adding that they are not able to take the dead body to their home as the snowfall has blocked the roads leading towards their home.

“Due to snow that has accumulated on the roads yesterday, it hasn’t been cleared yet, we are stuck with the dead body of our elderly member in Beerwah hospital,” they said.

They identified the dead as Ghulam Mohuiddin Wani, 55, son of Abdul Gani Wani, a resident of Ohangam village of Beerwah Budgam.

They have appealed to the administration to either clear the roads leading towards their locality or facilitate them in taking away the dead body towards their home. (KDC)
