Srinagar, Feb 21,: A man was critically injured on Sunday after the car he was driving plunged into a deep gorge near Churtung Mode area of Saderkoot Payeen village on Bandipora-Srinagar highway.
A police official told News Agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that an Alto Car bearing registration number JK15 5674 fell into the deep gorge after the driver lost control over it, resulting in the serious injuries to him.
He said the injured driver was immediately rushed to District Hospital Bandipora where doctors referred him to Srinagar hospital in critical condition.
He identified the injured person as Irshad Ahmad Sofi son of Ghulam Mohammad Sofi, a resident of Nowpora area of Bandipora.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident. (KDC)
