DSEK Carries Surprise Visit Of Edu Institutes In Anantnag, Orders Closure Of Pvt School For 2 Days

Srinagar, April 01: A private school was ordered to be closed for two days for dereliction of covid-19 SOPs in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Thursday.

Official sources told GNS that a team of officials headed by Director School Education Department Kashmir carried surprise inspection of several educational institutions including Gem Public School, Boys and Girls Higher Secondary Bijbhera, high school Kanilwan, private school Sky Touch, Higher secondary Srigufara, middle school Badroo and others.

“The authorities directed Sky Touch school to close the institute for two days and make good the deficiencies as regards the SOPs,” a senior officer told GNS. The team was also impressed by the facilities at some schools, he said.

Director School Education Younis Malik told GNS inspection was carried out to ensure that all educational institutes take the necessary measures as regards prevention of covid-19 infections. He said that strict action shall be taken against the educational institutes which are found negligent in taking the necessary and required measures. (GNS)
