Baramulla Police Traces Two Minor Girls Hours After Missing

Srinagar, Apr 11: Police in Baramulla have traced two minor girls just hours after the duo went missing in as many incidents of the similar nature in north-Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

A statement by Baramulla police issued to Srinagar-based news agency Global News Service (GNS) maintained that a minor girl of 15-16 years of age (name withheld) was recovered from Batmaloo locality of Srinagar on April 10 by Police station Sheeri.

The kidnapper, as per the statement, was arrested within hours, on receipt of a complaint from victim’s father.

In a similar incident, Police Station Boniyar on Saturday traced out a missing girl (about 15-16 yrs old) from Hakapathri area within 24 hours on receipt of a complaint from her father on April 9, wherein the latter said that his daughter (name withheld) had been missing since Thursday last.

Acting swiftly, police parties were able to track down the individuals within hours into their missing, the statement reads. (GNS)
