Corona in electoral states?; Prof. Bhim Singh questions the PM about the Govt
rule of law in states under electoral stress
Jammu: Prof. Bhim Singh, President of J&K National Panthers Party (JKNPP) & Sr. Advocate of Supreme Court of India has questioned the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi on the rule of law which Govt. of India has imposed, “Do Gaz Ki Doori, Mask Hai Zaroori’ and social & physical distance which every citizen has been directed to follow for the safety and security of citizens of India under pandemic Covid-19. This is a wonderful direction/advice of the Govt. of India but, why not Covid-19 guidelines should not be followed by the population of the entire country from Kashmir to Kanyakumari and Gujarat to Guwahati.
Prof.Bhim Singh also appealed the Members of Parliament to raise this question whenever they get an opportunity, What about nearly 19% citizens of India, the electorates in West Bengal, Assam, Tripura, Puducherry, Tamiladu and Kerala? Are they not citizens of India and entitled to enjoy all fundamental rights like citizens of India living in other states? What about the security and safety of the Indian citizens residing in the states facing election for the Legislature? 1000 voters casting their votes in a polling booth anywhere in the election facing states. Are they not entitled to the same kind of protection, equality of treatment and equal protection which is guaranteed in the Constitution of India? Are the citizens of India residing in these elections facing states not facing the same kind of situation/atmosphere which other citizens of India are facing in the rest of the states?
Prof.Bhim Singh also urged the President of India, Shri Ramnath Kovind to ask this question from the ruling party in India whether this kind of electoral process where nearly 19% countrymen, do not face discrimination as they are deprived of protection of the Constitution of India as only 19% are undergoing this discrimination and the Union of India has ignored this kind of situation discriminating against 19% of the countrymen who have been forced to violate Covid-19 guidelines.
Prof.Bhim Singh also wondered how and why Election Commission of India remained silent throughout least caring for the rule of law and equal protection of law.
