Termination of employees on charges without probe sheer injustice, appeal LG to reconsider decision of dismissals: EJCC’s Aijaz Khan
“Put on hold the orders of dismissal till the final outcome of investigation”
Srinagar (PR) : Chairman Employees Joint Action Committee (EJCC) and President CAPD Employees Association Kashmir on Sunday strongly reacted to the termination of three employees and said dismissal of government employees without probe is sheer justice and appealed Lt Governor Manoj Sinha to reconsider the decision of the dismissal of three government employees and refer the issue to any investigative agency of Jammu & Kashmir Government.
In a statement issued on Sunday Khan said “dismissal of the government employees even without seeking an explanation from them is sheer injustice and demanded a free, fair and independent investigation by any investigative agency of the Jammu & Kashmir Government into the allegations of grave nature on the basis of which the employees have been dismissed”. Reiterating that “though employees are not above the law as they are guided by the service conduct rules of the government but simultaneously government itself is the custodian of the interests of the employees” Khan said “employees can’t even think about acting against the national interests but would always work for the protection of national interests and national security”, He said “investigation by an investigation agency of the government is the only way to prove the charges against the dismissal and henceforth EJCC demands a probe by any investigative agency of the government”.
Stating that “dismissal of three government employees without following proper procedures of investigation and institutional accountability as laid down as per law of the land has generated fears of job insecurities among the employees” Khan appealed Lt Government to reconsider the decision of the dismissals of all the three employees, refer the cases of the dismissed employees for investigation to any investigative agency of Jammu & Kashmir Government and put on hold the orders of dismissal till the final outcome of investigation.
