Pattan man held with Charas in Srinagar

Srinagar, May 06: A 25-year-old man from Pattan area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district was arrested by Srinagar Police on Wednesday after contraband substance was recovered from his possession.

A Police official told News Agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that the officers at a checkpoint established at Badiyari Chowk under the jurisdiction of Rambagh Police Station intercepted a suspicious person identified as Showkat Ahmad Wani, son of Ab Ahad Wani, a resident of Wanigam Pattan.

The official said during checking, 130 gram Charas was recovered from his possession.

A case under FIR No 61/2021, U/S- 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered against the man at police Station Ram Munshi Bagh in Srinagar, he added. (KDC)
