Renowned Social political Activist Sardar Tajinder Singh urged Jammu and Kashmir UT administration to provide adequate incentives to Asha Workers on the pattern of Covid19 Warriors of health and medical education department,to boost their morale in this tough time of COVID-19.
Tajinder said that decision of jammu and kashmir administration to sanction special incentive to covid19 warriors of health and medical education department is appreciable as it would benefit more than 17000 employees including class 4th employees.
Tajinder said Asha Workers are in daily contact with the community,they are responsible for collecting information on all health indicators and helping the community to acess treatment but unfortunately Asha Workers who are back bone of health system working on the meagre incentive and have been left out in financial incentive given by the Jammu and Kashmir UT administration.
Asha worker are first to come in contact with covid19 patients to help them in getting screened and accessing treatment, therefore it is requested to administration to provide personal protection equipment kits, incentives and wages to these frontline covid19 Asha Workers .Tajinder added.
