Conana Curfew Extended Across J&K Till May 24
Srinagar, May 15 : The authorities have extended corona curfew in all 20 districts of Jammu and Kashmir by a week.
J&K reported 3677 fresh covid-19 cases even as 63 people succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said.
They said that 1728 of these cases were reported from Jammu Division and 1949 from Kashmir Valley, taking the overall all tally to 240467. The death toll has reached 3090 in J&K.
“The Corona Curfew imposed in all 20 districts of J&K till 7 am on Monday, 17/5/21 is extended further till 7 am on Monday, 24/5/21,” officials said in a tweet as per GNs. “The curfew will be strict except for a few essential services.”
On April 29, the administration imposed curfew in 11 districts and it was subsequently extended to all the 20 districts the next day.
Prior to it, a 34-hour curfew from 8 pm on April 24 till April 26. On April 8, night curfew was imposed from 10 pm to 6 am in the urban areas of eight districts, which was extended to the municipal and urban local body limits of all the 20 districts in the J&K on April 20. (GNS)
